How to transfer a .com / .net / .org domain name:

We will submit a request on your behalf. The admin contact for the domain name will receive an email request the domain be transfered. All they have to do is follow the instructions in the email to authorise the transfer

By transferring these domains it adds an additional year to the duration of the domain name life. We will simply charge you our current rate for this therefore you gain another year at our low low prices.

Why do I need a secure certificate?

If you are taking orders through your website or capturing information from users which needs to be kept secure you need a secure certificate. This gives the user confidence in knowing that their information is not going to be stolen or used by others.

A secure certificate is required to allow you to encrypt the sections of your site which need to be secure. This mean that the users will see a ‘padlock’ within their browser to prove that the site is secure.

There are 2 levels of secure certificate which you can choose from. Both give you the padlock on screen, both give you security. See below for details of the two options.

Option 1 – Domain Validated £120* per year

Provides secure certificate with onscreen padlock. The users information is encrypted. This level of certificate verifies to the user that the domain name is gunuine and that the site is secure. It does not verify you are who you say you are but it does give the consumer confidence to make a purchase. Ideal for startup businesses.

Option 2 – Business Validated £245* per year

Provides secure certificate with onscreen padlock. The users information is encrypted. This level of certificate verifies to the user that the domain name is genuine and more importantly it verifies that your business is genuine and reasonable checks have been made to prove this. In order to purchase this we will contact you to obtain proof of trading which is required before the certificate can be issued. Total Security

I already have a secure certificate – can I install in on my web space?

If you have hosting with us you can add an existing secure certificate for £POA (this covers help with installation and the dedicated IP number that is required). If you purchase a certificate through us we include this free of charge.
